Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I prepare for my massage?

To get the most out of your session, try to arrive well-hydrated and freshly showered. Drinking plenty of water before your massage helps your muscles respond more effectively and supports your body’s natural detox process.

It’s also best to avoid heavy meals right before your appointment, as a full stomach can make it uncomfortable when face down.

Wear comfortable clothing, and aim to arrive a few minutes early to settle in and take a few deep breaths before we begin.

  • Do I have to completely undress?

Not at all! Your comfort always comes first. You’re welcome to undress to whatever level feels right for you. Some clients choose to fully undress, while others prefer to leave undergarments on. You’ll always be properly draped, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.

In some cases, keeping certain garments on can limit access to the full length of a muscle, which may restrict my ability to address an area as thoroughly. We’ll talk through your preferences before we begin to ensure you feel completely comfortable and supported.

  • Are there requirements for me to receive a massage at my home?

I kindly ask that you provide a space large enough for me to set up my massage table and move around it freely. Ideally, this means a clear area of about 10 feet by 7 feet with access to an outlet.

The space should be quiet and free from distractions so you can fully relax. Please remove any furniture or tripping hazards before I arrive.

If stairs are required to access your home or the treatment area, please let me know when booking your appointment.

  • What if the pressure isn't right?

I wholeheartedly believe that you know what’s best for your body. If the pressure I’m using doesn’t feel quite right (whether it’s too much or not enough) please let me know as soon as you can.

Ego is checked at the door. My priority is creating a safe, supportive, and effective experience for you. I’ll also share anything I notice in your body along the way, so we can work together to make the session as beneficial as possible.

  • What are the tipping expectations?

Tipping can sometimes feel confusing or even stressful, so I want to be clear that there is no expectation to tip on top of the service cost. The best tip you can give is your return visit or a referral to a friend.

  • Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes! This is a thoughtful way to share the experience of massage with someone you care about. Follow the “Book Now” button and select “All Services” to view available gift certificate amounts. You can also access them here.

  • What areas do you travel to?

I currently travel up to 15 miles from my home in Laveen. If you're unsure and would like to see if I can travel to you, please email museholisticbodywork@gmail.com.
